Dallas Mavericks Become First Team Ever in NBA Playoffs History to Suffer Brutal Experience in Game 4 Loss to Clippers

Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks nearly put the Los Angeles Clippers in danger of losing in Game 4, but they were defeated 116-111 at home by Paul George and company after failing to take advantage of (again) the absence of Clippers star Kawhi Leonard.

Even though Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, the Mavericks’ superstar duo, put up enormous statistical numbers, Dallas was unable to overcome the 31-point deficit it had to overcome in Game 4.

The Dallas Mavericks Falls If not for making an incredible comeback against the Clippers in Game 4.
The Mavericks appeared hopeless after Los Angeles established such a large lead, but they forced themselves to even draw even in the fourth quarter. Regretfully, the Mavericks’ best efforts, particularly those of Irving and Doncic, proved insufficient as they lost to the Clippers.

Kyrie Irving scored forty or more points, and Luka Doncic recorded a triple-double, but the Mavericks are the first club in NBA history to lose a postseason game in regulation.

After 45 minutes, Irving led the Mavs with 40 points on 14/25 shooting from the floor, five assists, seven rebounds, and five steals. Conversely, Doncic put up 29 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists in just four minutes of playing time. However, he only shot 10/24 from the field and was a terrible 1/9 from beyond the arc.

The Mavericks are frequently predicted to go as far as Irving and Doncic would carry them since they have two players who are getting a lot of playing time together, but despite their combined 69 points, the combo was unable to lead Dallas to victory in Game 4. If anything, it shows how much the Mavericks still need those two players to help them against the dangerous Clippers, who had 66 points from George and James Harden combined.
