Milwaukee Bucks doomed in Game 4 after head coach’s grim injury update on Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo

Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo

With studs Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard sidelined due to injuries, the Milwaukee Bucks’ chances of winning a crucial Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers appear slim at best.

It was the Milwaukee Bucks who were behind the eight ball from the beginning of the 2024 NBA Playoffs. Giannis Antetokounmpo had a calf strain just before the postseason started, which meant he would miss games in the first round for the second year in a row.

Even bad, though, is that Damian Lillard sustained two injuries in the team’s Game 3 defeat, the most serious of which was a strained Achilles in the closing moments. Furthermore, Kris Middleton is enduring an ankle injury.

Apparently, the Bucks will only be able to use one of their top three players going into a crucial road Game 4. The two-time NBA MVP was anticipated to “go hard” in workouts on Sunday morning, according to Milwaukee’s head coach Doc Rivers, who made this announcement during practice on Saturday. He still has his concerns, though, that he will be prepared to play on Sunday despite that encouraging report.

Damian Lillard is questionable for the Milwaukee Bucks’ matchup with the Indiana Pacers in Game 4.

If they had Lillard they still would have a good chance to even the series. However, a pair of reports confirmed that the eight-time All-Star has a Grade 1 Achilles strain and is listed as doubtful for tomorrow night’s playoff game.

In a three-point loss in Game 3, Draymond Green managed to contribute 28 points and eight assists to Middleton’s game-changing 42 points, despite missing most of the game due to a knee injury. Even though Middleton has played well in this series, it is asking a lot of him to lead the entire way in a game against the potent Pacers offense.

With their unexpected first-round exit, the Milwaukee Bucks are putting themselves even closer to the prospect of winning a second consecutive season.
