Lawsuit against Dak Prescott of Dallas Cowboys relocated to different county

Dak Prescott

Yoel Zehaie, the plaintiff’s attorney, has announced that the complaint against Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, in which the woman accused him of sexual assault, has been transferred from Dallas County to Collin County in Texas.

After Zehaie filed a motion for a “non-suit without prejudice,” which permitted the accuser to refile the action later, the lawsuit was withdrawn in Dallas County last week. Moving to Collin County “for purposes of convenience,” Zehaie explained in an email, given that Prescott’s initial lawsuit for damages was filed in that county.

After receiving a letter from lawyers Bethel and Yoel Zehaie in January alleging Prescott of sexually abusing the woman in February 2017, the lady filed a lawsuit in March demanding relief exceeding $1 million, according to the lawsuit. In spite of the unfortunate occurrences, she is prepared to give up on filing a criminal complaint and to make this information public in exchange for financial support to ease her mental suffering, according to the letter. $100,000,000.00 is the estimated value of [the woman’s] damages.”

Prescott promised in his lawsuit that he would contribute any such relief to the Joyful Heart Foundation or another “like-minded organization.”

Then, regarding the purported 2017 event, the accuser filed a police report and a civil complaint. Prescott “has never engaged in any nonconsensual, sexual conduct with anyone,” according to Prescott’s lawyer Levi McCathern, who described the claim as “completely fabricated” in March.

This Monday, Dallas Police announced that the investigation is still ongoing. Prescott’s allegations of extortion against the accuser are being looked into by the Prosper, Texas, police.
